By using this website (lakelandtree.com) or engaging Lakeland Tree Service for tree services, you agree to these terms.
Service estimates
All written estimates are valid for 30 days from issue date. Estimates are based on observed conditions at the time of inspection. If conditions change (additional damage, hidden issues discovered during work), we will discuss any price adjustments with you before proceeding.
Permits
We handle permit research as a courtesy. Final responsibility for tree-removal permits in the City of Lakeland and Polk County rests with the property owner. We will not proceed with work requiring a permit until the permit is in hand.
Property access
You agree to provide reasonable access to the property and tree(s) being serviced. We use protective mats, plywood, and tarps but cannot guarantee zero impact on existing landscaping in all cases. Sprinkler heads and below-ground utilities should be marked before our crew arrives.
Insurance
We carry $2M general liability insurance and full workers compensation. Certificates of insurance provided on request. We are responsible for damage caused by our crew’s negligence. Acts of God (sudden wind shifts, undisclosed structural failures) are not covered.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Returned checks incur a $35 fee.
Warranty
Stump grinding work is warrantied against regrowth from the ground stump for 12 months. Tree removal is not warrantied (the tree is gone — nothing to warranty). Tree trimming is warrantied against improper cuts; we will return to correct any pruning cuts that don’t conform to ANSI A300 standards.
Cancellation
You may cancel scheduled work up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a service charge to cover crew scheduling.
Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service. We are not responsible for consequential damages, loss of use, or indirect damages.
